Obama Punishes Seniors

Race Pain Pill in Hand
She waits for Death

Liberals are always guilty of what they accuse the Republicans of doing. It’s their ‘beard’ for disguising their unacceptable actions and policies.

The new sweeping Obamacare bill takes a whopping $500 billion dollar byte out of the Medicare system, and leaves what treatments they receive up to bureaucrats, and generally destroys the confidence seniors had for adequate medical care during the years they most need it. Obama’s own words ring in the ears of seniors, “A lot of that is going to have to be, we as a culture and as a society starting to make better decisions within our own families and for ourselves. But what we can do is make sure that at least some of the waste that exists in the system that's not making anybody's mom better, that is loading up on additional tests or additional drugs that the evidence shows is not necessarily going to improve care, that at least we can let doctors know and your mom know that, you know what? Maybe this isn't going to help. Maybe you're better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller.” This was a direct quote from an Obama interview with ABC. No longer would such decisions be in the hands of the family, but rather in the hands of the bureaucracy.

This is wrong on so many fronts, but one needs to ask 'when' is the decision made to give the patient a painkiller. Would the decision for a pain pill be made after seeking advice from specialists? Would the decision for a pain pill be made after thorough diagnostic tests were made? Or would the administration of a pain pill be strictly bureaucratically made by ‘guidelines’ set up by the bureaucracy, and not by way of expert medical diagnosis.

Sarah Palin may not have been far off with her statements about ‘death panels’. In effect, that is what the ‘end of life care’ is going to be. With the Obama system, once you fall into the category needing ‘end of life care’, there is no hope of a return to society. You take your painkiller and just wait to die. What a way to reassure our older citizens. With the elderly, under Obama’s system, every illness that afflicts them will have them terrified instead of hopeful.

It is time to realize that we have a ding-dong for a president and both he and his healthcare bill needs retirement. Punishing our seniors both financially and terrifying them over healthcare is unnecessary. Remember, everybody has to get old. Getting old should not be a punishment, but a reward.
